The stated laws of society and their application are often misguided. The recent case of streaker, Murray Greig, an overnight celebrity at the Scotland-Australia International Rugby match, is an interesting case in point no matter what you think about the rights and wrongs of nudity, public or otherwise.

Patriotically kilt-wearing Murray Grieg had taken a few drinks and felt emboldened to entertain the crowds with a routine of handstands  and the like in a distinctly exhibitionist fashion. The crowd was by and large entertained, so much so that he  promptly got dubbed “Braveheart” after Scotland’s rebel leader William Wallace (celebrated in the Mel Gibson film where he moons the Brits). Uninterested in sport, I chanced to learn about the story when checking the religious news on Christian Post which oddly included a whole article on the subject. Report had gone viral and there were media interviews for Greig and the promise of TV ad work. The police, perhaps bending to popular feeling, didn’t answer the call Greig had been required to make to them and so he has received no charge and fine. Yet on a regular basis police in Australia, the side which lost the match, can otherwise be ruthless to the point of absurdity towards nudists.

In a case now famous or notorious in the part of Australia I inhabit, back in ’06/7 respected Queensland artist Ken Wenzel spent a painful two years fighting off the quite serious legal charges against him (criminal in effect) of being indecently exposed in a conservative state which still lacks even one legal free beach for the benefit of tourists or locals. The charge got laid on Ken for presuming to be naked for a swim on a deserted beach where no one could see him except police who went deliberately looking and then maintained shock and outrage upon finding him. One even claimed he had never seen a naked man – they hadn’t showered at school! If Ken’s nudity was a crime it was a victimless one. At one point the frustrated police tried to make out his wrong was against the state which legislated against the condition of being naked. (As well say the sun and skies were offended because this kind of reasoning gets mythic!). One sometimes has to wonder if the more outlandish Australian responses to nudity aren’t linked to knee jerk negative attitudes towards the country’s Aboriginals who lived their lives clothes free before the empire arrived.

If you go to rugby matches in Oz, or anywhere, you can expect some wild behavior and a few streakers thrown in. But what’s principally shocking about “Braveheart” Greig is that back in Scotland itself the so-called naked rambler Steve Gough is still in prison, segregated from other prisoners and in virtual solitary confinement after six years and he is so for walking nude in a street in bonnie Scotland. [ Gough finally got out of Scotland in Oct ’12 but in June ’13 served 11 months in England]. Given how society now treats burglars, child abusers etc all this is seriously controversial. It is tantamount to implying one of the worst crimes anyone could ever commit is to be either naked or an English eccentric campaigning for something. (Or perhaps it means that one of the worst risks to your well being is to fall foul of Scotland’s revenge for past wrongs from down south!). Gough had already walked the whole length of England en route to John o’ Groats without being taken in; but when he got across the border (and lost the sun and some goodwill apparently) he was charged by police because a young postman had felt “frightened” to see a naked man in the street. (Hadn’t the postman even heard of the rambler’s much discussed effort to reach Scotland’s northern most point, and did he think he was about to be raped?). Scotland the Brave indeed! The laws of Scotland which seem blithely ignorant that – whether you or they like it or not – gay nudists can be naked on the streets at Pride parades in San Francisco, Toronto and Berlin and sometimes on a regular basis, just can’t let the heterosexual Gough out of the jail naked to make his cherished point. He is re-arrested every time he leaves and is now threatened with lifelong incarceration if he can’t respect the laws whose power and dignity are raised way above what Gough chooses to consider his human rights in the matter.

Though I don’t write this as a card carrying supporter of Gough and before we single out cold Scotland for pettiness and moral panic as regards treatment of the prisoner, we may note that despite San Francisco’s freedoms, even to Frisco’s south in San Diego this year a gay male at the city’s Pride parade was arrested for a nudity that wasn’t even nudity. Understandably he now wants to sue the city or police. He was wearing a gladiator uniform, a covering jockstrap and a kind of Roman skirt covered his buttocks. When I saw the picture I wondered whatever it was the police could be thinking of and seeing. Except that she isn’t gay and male there might be more reason to arrest pop tart Britney Spears. Plainly some people just imagine nudity and then the laws are permitted to bend to the whims of police who as a group are often more conservatively minded than many in regular society.

In a variety of western nations today police can arrest a person for, say, “public disturbance” or “breach of peace”. But this can amount to no more than the officer’s merely subjective impression of how a person looks or how they interpret a concerned citizen’s report of their feelings at the sight of somebody strange as in the case of the oddly “frightened” Scots postman or the many mums of Australia who believe their children will be corrupted if they so much as glimpse a naked person. (The latter idea is the usual excuse in tropical Queensland with its many vast deserted beaches never to permit even one legal nude beach. No matter how removed from people the nudity may be, on the path to it there is always some house, some street, some district or some children who are supposedly seriously threatened by it and if it’s not morality at risk it’s the property prices). If anyone is arrested the magistrates can then be expected to believe the police whether they are right or wrong, righteously sane or insanely bigoted. Any other  perspectives on the situation then involve the accused in major costs by way of defence to get beyond the typical and highly controversial alliance of trust between magistrate and police  – this helps explain the insulting, ridiculous nature of the mentioned Ken Wenzel case.

Personally I believe Gough should put his clothes on and go south, rejoin his abandoned family and tell the media of his rough experiences at the hands of the dour Scottish legal and penal systems and not hold out against the world as he is grimly and rather irrelevantly doing. My subject here is first and foremost just the reason and logic that is prior to, or should be prior to, any human rights or minoritorian issues of the kind democracy is supposed to consider. It must be supposed that the idea of those who oppose Gough and any kind of naturism of the more public variety, is that if we (or Scotland) tolerated Gough, the laws and respect for them would fall apart and the world would be invaded by nudists and nudity. It’s the old “moral panic” argument (psychologically akin to the “homosexual panic” plea that used to excuse almost any violence to gays in law courts because the gay person’s looks or gestures had been supposedly corrupting). But is this reasonable?

Plain reason and the evidence tells us it is false. For several years until last year Barcelona totally rid itself of anti-nudity laws. Almost no nudists were out on the streets and they merely presented as a colourful tourist curio if occasionally they did appear. Most of these nudists were men, probably gays (even in the most liberal of societies women will probably never so readily expose themselves in public for reasons of peace and safety). The law was finally cancelled, not because the main streets were invaded by hoards of exhibitionists but because in certain back streets foreign prostitutes were encouraged or pushed into displaying themselves to men who were then having open intercourse. This was indeed “indecent exposure”, one that was felt to render the city less free than merely sleazy but it was nothing to do with the genuine naturism of the likes of Gough and its theoretical rights. In San Francisco, the everyday nudity of a few gays in the gay quarters has not produced the same kind of abuse and has now been tolerated for years. And even if it is felt that nudity is in bad taste since most people don’t present beautifully, at least the unglamorous nature of some nudists and nudism would seem to prove that comfort, a simple dislike for the encumberment of clothes rather than exhibitionism and sexual predation is behind the phenomenon. One can’t have it both ways where objections are concerned.

It’s high time that for every reason from the legal to the sexual that greater reason, logic and just fairness entered into the approach to nudity and that “indecent exposure” should mean actual sexual behavior, flashing etc that people are confronted with as opposed to persons simply being naked. I may be wrong, but I suspect that a lot of the problem and the reason that the West especially has made its now almost immutably fixed connection between nudity and sex, is because for some reason, and despite rather than because of Judaeo-Christian traditions, nudity in art and photography has come to be associated principally with the female. Curiously it is the naked male who has been rendered particularly indecent and who today is far more likely to have a run-in with the law than an exposed woman. This situation is against history and many cultures.

Not to mention the widespread male nudity in the life of the ancient Greeks, in India there were and are the naked Jain monks to be seen and even biblically we learn that in the times of Samuel the prophets went naked at least sometimes. Isaiah went naked for three years and the prophet Micah declares he will go naked. Outside the West nudity has a variety of meanings beyond the purely sexual. But male nudity is, if you like, a degree more natural to the extent the male is deemed and felt to be symbolically “solar” where the female is “lunar” and the male genitals are naturally exposed where the female genitalia are hidden. Some would consider that insisting on male modesty is moral. But it could be argued that making lack of modesty in public a matter for near horror, a major legal offence as against to the numerous things one might not like to see in public (like people badly dressed, dirty, grossly obese or eating in the street) only renders the genitals so “unconscious” it facilitates the kind of phallic hate that accompanies much sexual aggression.

We don’t want or need to revive any cults of Priapus nor encourage everyone to go naked (though I have read a younger Obama is supposed to have said it would be a better world if no one wore clothes!), but some measure of acceptance of the phallus wouldn’t hurt. But beyond this the naked person is a sign – of many things as when the World Naked Bike Ride protests freedom from pollution by the forces of the unnatural – but not least and obviously of a certain dissociation from the norm. Many people dream, often fearfully, of being found naked in public. Those few who actually do go nude in public might be said to live something like, and create something like, a trance state amid the everyday run of things. And I think this is where there is some connection with the mystical and religious because the prophet is the person of the trance state who recalls people to the Beyond.

We are reminded of that aspect of nudity but rarely because, ironically and paradoxically, even biblical prophets would get fined or jailed today if like Gough they claimed a right to go naked. In the technical language of post-modernism nudity is something of a floating signifier. It means different things to different people in different situations. It’s not to advocate a universal nudity or the behavior of exhibitionists to say the laws should respect and reflect this variability, that they should become more rational, logical and just, certainly more subtle than some police on the beat would allow. Streaking antics aren’t and shouldn’t be what nudity is about, yet it is precisely these rather antisocial gestures that currently society, and the laws somewhat, do tolerate.

With the first biography of Gina Rinehart, the world’s richest woman, out today and interviews with family members and former associates on the media, I have looked at the natal data discovering things no biography or interview will quite reveal. It’s graphic and surprising.

Gina Rinehart was born on Feb 9th  1954, reportedly at 9.51 pm at John of God hospital,  Perth, West Australia.[By a slip I incorrectly originally posted the time as 7.51pm but still analysed the pattern correctly for 9.51pm]. This time looks to be correct and her birth data is suitably remarkable, especially if we include, as I shall, the new astrology of names and places through the asteroids. But I shall run through some traditional markers first…..

Uranus in the house of career and reputation. This is a person unique and special in some way, not least through family affairs and perhaps peculiar mothering ( Uranus in Cancer sign of mother and family). The person could possibly be known as an eccentric, especially since this Uranus is strong as “ruler” of Gina’s birth sign, Aquarius.

Sun (in Aquarius) opposite Pluto – a person likely to be controlling but anyway involved in constant power struggles.

Saturn, traditional symbol of the earth and any mining, “rules” the traditional house of the father. Gina is born to mining through paternal inheritance.

Moon is closely opposite Saturn –  loss of mother and/or coldness in mothering. Both apply. Gina’s mother was lost to cancer, she detested her step mother and her treatment of her own children is controversial, even plain eccentric given the mentioned Uranus in Cancer. And there is conflict with children over things Saturnian – mining and inheritances.

Jupiter in Gemini is just inside the 8th of inheritances and shared resources. This is the inherited wealth, but it is not fortunate as Gemini is weak in that sign and it naturally divides things – the inheritance is a matter of division. However, since “benefic” Venus “rules” this inheritance house and it conjuncts Gina’s sun, her core identity and will are going to consider that everything is or should be hers beyond division.

With active, aggressive Mars in what’s called an extreme, anaretic degree, (last degree of a sign, here 29 Scorpio) and in the second house of money there is an insatiability where earning is concerned.

Libra, the sign of law and litigation, rises at birth affecting, persona, style and everyday dealings. Given her funds this could favour being litigious. Usually it favours an attention to appearances that Gina scarcely shows; but not only is she at heart an independent, eccentric Aquarian but wherever Libra refuses taste it seems to express itself at the opposite extreme. It also risks putting on weight. The Gina manner of address is nonetheless Libran- style quiet and restrained, not openly aggressive.

Neptune rises in the first house of self-image. Gina is elusive but she appears soft even though the Saturn behind it in the same house will be particularly tough and tenacious in Scorpio where it denies the typically “exciting” lifestyles of the rich and famous. It also exacerbates any jealous and vengeful feelings such as towards Rose Porteous (who, if possibly asteroid Rosa in the sign of the foreign Sagittarius could represent her, was never an enemy on the scale imagined).

Almost more interesting and revelatory are the asteroids.

Neptune rises in the house of the persona and is same degree conjunct with Ricco (Rich). Gina is seen as rich, fabulously, impossibly dream level rich  – Neptune is any dreams  and fantasies – and of course she is this. This, like certain other signs, would apply no matter what time of day Gina was born.

But presumably the given moment of birth was exact enough. It gives 15.09 of Libra rising. Amazingly, directly opposite at 15.09 of Aries, namely at the entrance of the house of open enemies and litigation, is asteroid Hancock. This forecasts how the house will be divided, the son will take the Hancock name and be opposed to his mother in litigation from the 7th house point of any open enmity and litigations. (There is no John asteroid so effectively this asteroid in this position represents John rather than Lang Hancock though to the extent the latter intended his grandchildren should inherit he is after a fashion represented here too as accusing Gina).

Gina’s view is that her children and everyone needs to work for their money, (even though she herself had a head start which wasn’t exactly owing to labour). In astrology the semi-sextile aspect is deemed financial and asteroid Mony (sic) in the house of work is suitably financially semi-sextile her sun, her core self.

So everyone including herself must work rather than enjoy, and asteroids Australia and Perth, conjunct on the same degree (Gina’s Australia is West Australia!) are stuck in the house of secret enemies almost certainly perceived by her as a threat to everything – as is perhaps most everything and everyone outside her direct control.

Whatever Gina’s precise personal credo, to all practical purposes is it is one pitched against God since asteroid Credo opposes Theotes (Godhead).

This impression of a warning is duplicated by the very strange way in which there is a line up of Lucifer, Bhagwat and the sun at birth. Depending upon the factors concerned, conjunctions represent close harmony or great conflict, Lucifer at 18.51 Aquarius conjuncts Bhagwat at 19.51 which conjuncts the sun at 20.17 Aquarius. Bhagwat (Lord/God)  is the other God asteroid with Theotes. God and devil spiritually strive over what and who Gina is and does as at least potentially a devil woman. And with her inheriting lucky Jupiter in aspect to the hell asteroid, hers looks like an inheritance which creates merry hell, even if it doesn’t come from and lead to hell.

The pattern of Gina’s fate has affinities for the Lukan parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus especially given asteroid Lazarro (Lazarus) directly setting up tension aspect to her Sun/Lucifer/Bhagwat. It’s true she hasn’t left people starving at her gate, but while many in the world sicken and starve, this woman so little known for philanthropy but who is so oddly and tenaciously bitter, has spent countless millions not just in defending and enlarging a fortune but in effect pursuing personal vendettas. The overall pattern would indicate that if the richest woman in the world, who is on the way to becoming to the richest person in the world, doesn’t change a few directions she will be paying up big time… God.

We are presently hearing about the secretive Gina because Pluto is near conjunction with the base of her chart which has to do with her family and origins. It’s also  within this now probed house of origins that the name Adele falls, arguably a promise of how one day an Adele (Ferguson) would be writing the bio. This is also the time of the great Pluto-Uranus square aspect which going back and forth will form and reform to dominate affairs into 2015 and may be expected to bring the affairs of Gina to light whether she wants it or not, perhaps especially later in this cycle when it will affect her ascendant. Then there will be no hiding. She needs to get ready for changes she probably should have made long ago.

So far there are no films about Mohammed. His face should not be seen though a bio-pic film in preparation under the guidance of Son of Hamas, Mosab Yousef, may soon alter that. But if film is so far alien to the story of Mohammed, it is not so to the by now much treated story of Jesus. Yet portrayal of Christ, even when intending all fidelity to fact and aiming to respect, never seems quite to satisfy anybody (though I do think at the level of image Jim Caviezel was quite successful in The Passion of the Christ, and Zeffirelli’s Jesus of Nazareth came off quite well). Now a Dutch born film director Paul Verhoeven, most famous in Hollywood for directing Robocop and Basic Instinct but who was improbably also a long time member of The Jesus Seminar,  is preparing his own Jesus of Nazareth, having received the necessary financial backing. It will be a portrait/story of Jesus as all human, not divine but born as the product of rape – a theory some of the Seminar have been willing to espouse.

Before even commenting on the rape thesis, I would ask the question why is it that Hollywood Jesus films don’t tend to work. Also why for myself as a Christian  I can be at times curiously bored or unconvinced by both the historical Jesus studies of liberal sceptics questing for the “real” Jesus and his modified biography and their opposite in  evangelical believers retelling the biblical life story of Jesus and/or their own contemporary experiences of him. What is it that isn’t quite reaching me, especially as someone who claims to have been intrigued and amazed by and to have spent much time on study of certain findings about the historical Jesus as written up in the nearly 400 pages of Testament of the Magi, with some claim to be the most detailed intimate portrait of Jesus outside of the gospels if you want facts big and small?

To be radical about it, the question might be framed: should I, we, and you be that interested in the Jesus who lived in Nazareth? The perhaps unexpected answer is no…even St Paul wasn’t. He had a vision of a resurrected Christ and he wanted his converts to believe in the divine, the heavenly Jesus to whom the earthly Jesus, whose biography doesn’t concern him, was almost like a mask. “From now on…..we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we know him no longer in that way (2 Cor  5:16). And Jesus himself doesn’t particularly invite curiosity about himself since his chief earthly purpose was to show us the Father and (re)unite us with him. “Our Father who is in Heaven….”.

In an era that questions whether Jesus lived at all (or if he existed that he died on a cross), when it serves to certify Jesus existed and had the kind of character and understanding attributed to him then up to a point it’s interesting to locate and describe Jesus accurately. It is , especially if late in time a few additional details and clarifications become available. But if you can’t see through Jesus to God, to the Father, the (Pro)Creator and to the Spirit who arrives as the dove at the beginning of ministry, then you may not really be seeing the point or capturing – whether for life or film – the purpose and style of Jesus you aim to portray.

And frankly, isn’t the project of knowing the Creator, indeed the Trinity, more arresting than seeing only Jesus as exactly as possible in his earthly form and apparently so as to copy his ethical example (the “Jesus is my hero” outlook of liberal scholarship) or somehow imaginatively to extend the historical into the present so that Jesus can be imaged like your neighbour (the “Jesus is my best friend” of evangelical devotion). None of this is how Jesus gets perceived by the author of Revelation. If this author was the same as claimed sufficient intimacy to have leaned on Jesus’ breast, then the relationship is much changed in Revelation! And then again if he was author of the 1st Epistle of John he refers – and as something taken for granted among fellow believers – to a fellowship with both Father and Son (1 Joh: 3). This can be a far cry from the, virtually Jesus only religion (at least on the psychological and imaginative plane) of many modern believers. This Jesus is a figure bcome at times so folksy it borders on lack of imagination to be so dedicated to him or to be claiming eternal salvation through him. Can and should so humanized a figure carry such weight of significance? The mind of the average unbeliever boggles!

Something is wrong here and I suspect the extreme modern emphasis upon the historical Jesus (whether understood as fully human or fully divine rather than credibly and meaningfully both together) is connected to decline in meditation upon the Creator and creation as a result of the challenge to faith put by evolutionist theory. And in turn, (though it’s beyond present scope), as I argue in Temple Mysteries and Spiritual Efficiency, the challenge of this debate is largely a false one with certain basic points being seriously ignored or misunderstood.

What alone can make for a truly interesting portrait of Jesus is to convey something of the mystery that he and disciples assumed as regards his being, someone at the same time human and messianic/divine. Under the influence of Greek philosophy, much unnecessary confusion would arise over describing, imagining and explaining this paradox. Again the subject is beyond present scope, but sufficient to say philosophy got dragged in to describe what it is almost more an issue of anthropology and psychology of the self. The mystery has always needed to be accounted for in more strictly esoteric, “occult” terms like the quasi-hindu theory assumed among the rabbis and in much of Jewish mysticism, namely that we have more than one “body”.

Jesus was fully human at the level of the human body and mind, but his soul and spirit “bodies” were uniquely divine. However, even he could only know this by faith and introspection, the reason it is said he grew in wisdom and knowledge even at the same time as the gospels assume his unique vocation and status. In fact we can know it had to introspection because unless Jesus was attuned to and mentally focused upon these other levels he only knew what the average intelligent person could see or know. Thus he draws near to a fig tree to see if it is in fruit, something his human nature must discover like anyone else. He doesn’t know who has touched him for healing in a crowd but at a certain level he knows power has gone out of him. It is in his soul and/or spirit body that he is seen like a ghost upon the lake of Galilee by disciples in a storm.

It follows that film must convey this elusive Jesus who is operating on different levels, available and not available to disciples and those around him in a kind of play of light and shade. Even a purely sceptical treatment should still show this because, whether you believe in this kind of Jesus or not, this is how “Jesus the Magician” as he was thought of among pagans, was seen. And although believers would not class Jesus with the average shaman, as a type that is the kind of person humanly that must be enacted to present us anything like the historical figure. Verhoeven’s political, ethical Jesus is merely the product of western materialistic preconceptions. It’s nowhere near the truth psychological or any other….and that director is very far from truth entirely.

The theory of a Jesus born of rape or at least an affair of Mary with a passing through Roman soldier, Pantera or Panthera has been going the rounds, if quietly, for over a century. It resurfaces from far more ancient rumour recorded in the Talmud and aimed to discredit Jesus. The name Panthera, despite attempts to prove a Roman soldier from Germany had that name, almost certainly began as a corruption of parthenos, the word for virgin.  The rumour cum theory was revived in The Illegitimacy of Jesus, a study in service of the then still developing feminist theology by Jane Schaberg in 1987. The thesis was however somewhat mainstreamed, popularized and given a renewed larger publicity in ‘06 with James A Tabor’s The Jesus Dynasty which caused Schaberg’s book to be reissued in ‘06 by Harper Collins, Tabor’s publisher for The Jesus Dynasty. In short, Tabor’s work was published in advance of Vanhoeven’s ’08 originally Dutch language Jesus of Nazareth study written and issued in English by a small independent press to convince Hollywood that a film from his hands on the secular, political, non-divine Jesus was a valid proposition.

In the birth data of Christ (see the mentioned Testament of the Magi) which I have always maintained being true and finalnecessarily works to this day, there is a suggestive conjunction of Tabora and Panthera. Originally all asteroids were registered in the feminine form so that Tabora equals Tabor. Tabora conjunct Panthera and falls in the house of Jesus’ open enemies and Tabora trines (the aspect of luck and ease) to the asteroid Lie. The signs codify that Tabor will easily get away with the essentially hostile falsehood he is promoting. That he would do this and be a leading voice for the deception is so accurately registered on Christ’s birth data that, (assuming Amazon correctly posts Apr 4th ‘06 as publication date), registering or triggering events Pluto was making degree exact conjunction with Tabor(a) while Mars in war of words and writerly Gemini was directly opposite Panthera. Both were aspecting Lie – Pluto by the easy trine, Mars by opportunity sextile. It should be stressed amid this that the same birth data produce, almost improbably and against statistical probability, the coding to indicate the birth was indeed virginal, the reason the Tabor thesis will thus register as a lie.

At one level Pluto is simply research into the hidden mysteries which this theory obviously belongs to. At another octave of the symbol Pluto is God as (Pro)creator and any divine judgement (Pluto is what is called a malefic despite its power-giving possibilities at the human level) so that in context of the whole picture it can hardly be said to speak well for the author or any like Verhoeven (no asteroid) or Schaberg (no asteroid and no given birth date) who follow in his wake, even if it will temporarily empower outreach to the masses. As regards Verhoeven, though there’s no asteroid for his name, one need only look at his birth date to observe that both his natal sun and his Mars from different directions directly and closely afflict the natally conjunct Christ and Messiah asteroids of Christ’s birth something which reflects basic difficulty with or even hostility to the figure.

Publicity and sales for Tabor’s Panthera thesis book  was through Harper’s – some version or other of same (my own copy is Harper-Element, but doubtless there is HarperCollins, HarperSanFrancisco etc. Notable however is that at Christ’s birth asteroid Harper is very closely opposed to asteroid Christian, surely a forecast of how particularly this publisher through its publications would almost consistently issue every sensation, every falsehood and heresy opposed to Christian belief not to say lend voice to such as Bishop Spong who denies God and soul (as in Eternal Life: A New Vision) one of Harper’s reps having  pursued him to write it though he was reluctant and felt retired from writing. Harper issued The Five Gospels, findings of the Jesus Seminar, and many works by prominent members of the Seminar such Marcus Borg, John Crossan and Burton Mack.

It’s also why, I can now see with hindsight, how even despite a notable recommendation from someone in the business, who considered Testament “fascinating, ground breaking and publishable” – which should be evident to almost anyone – that back in  ’06 Harper first lost then rejected without explanation (beyond the “It wouldn’t fit our list” mantra of publishing houses), an earlier ms of Testament of the Magi from which information of the kind just made derives. No, no room for the real Jesus at Harpers. But it’s unlikely God would even have permitted information of the kind I dispose of to go through that particular channel even if that house were willing; which seems unlikely given its predominant mindset where any Christ issues are concerned.. Recently they announced they felt “honoured” to take on the autobiography of atheism’s chief activist Richard Dawkins. That more likely reflects their core position, and in future Christians of integrity should perhaps make a rule of not offering anything to this HeresyCentral if they respect Truth and aren’t into their writings for money and hype only, this house being the single biggest money maker out of religious themes.

Despite occasional protests, it may be that in the past it’s not a case of my speaking too little but rather too much about unjustly ignored revelations of Christ I deal in. As even Nietzsche has it:

Whoever will have much to proclaim one day, must long remain silent unto himself: whoever intends to ignite lightning one day, must long be—a cloud.—

Or again as the gospels have it:

“Do not give what is holy to dogs and do not throw your pearls before swine”…(Matt 7:6).

And frankly, the rape thesis and films basing on it are fit for the dogs and swine who will take it on – greedily enough no doubt. People who listen to Verhoeven should however recall that the recent horror of Luka Magnotta’s cannibalistic One Lunatic, One Ice Pick murder video is widely held to be a homage to Verhoeven’s Basic Instinct.  Roger Avary (of Pulp Fiction) chosen screenwriter for Jesus of Nazareth has spent time in jail for involuntary manslaughter under the influence of alcohol to which he pleaded both not guilty and guilty. It is necessary to be under the right spiritual vibes and  personally I don’t believe Verhoeven (who admits to having dabbled extensively in the occult in his youth before turning  rationalist) and his Jesus Seminar colleagues are so.  I once met the now deceased founder of the Jesus Seminar. I shan’t elaborate but I haven’t forgotten my impression.

[I have left Blogger and Rollan’s Censored Issues Blog and am starting again with a new site. Cannibalism is hardly the most pleasant place to begin but unfortunately it’s topical and the site does reckon to deal in often alternative themes and opinions].

It all happened very suddenly within a week or so. In Florida on the 27th May a man high on drugs began cannibalizing the face of a vagrant. That same week other cases in America and one in Sweden were reported, while in Canada, on the night of the 24th it’s believed, the Canadian Psycho Luka Magnotta murdered, dismembered and cannibalized Chinese student, Jun Lin, in Montreal. Before I look at Magnotta’s character and birth data I shall frame this with the answer I gave to a Yahoo Questions site inquiring what if any astrological signs of the  zombie apocalypse were to be traced. I said that….

I suspect several factors but especially effects of the long anticipated, slowly forming, basically shocking Uranus/Pluto square aspect. It’s near to exact in the heavens already, but perfect on 24th June. And for this aspect shocking Uranus is in Aries. Aries is an aggressive sign and rules the head which has featured in apparently all instances of this cannibalism whether it’s a case of face or brains or lips eaten or a head severed and gone missing – body parts of the tragic Lin have been posted widely across Canada, but the head is missing.

These horrors have all manifested shortly after the stimulation of the 0 degree solar eclipse in Gemini on 20th May, and I have long noted a certain interest in Gemini in torture (extreme example, Marquis de Sade). It’s an intellectual sign and can withdraw from feeling which in this case people would need to do. The whole Gemini-Sagittarius axis is currently much emphasized since following the Gemini eclipse there is the lunar one of June 4th in the opposite sign of Sagittarius, the animals sign. Note that cannibalism is bestial and in at least the Miami case the man was growling like a dog. He may well have been possessed, but there’s also a drugs factor, certainly in his case and probably the others. So note that Neptune, now strong in its natural sign Pisces, is negatively highlighted by aspect to the Gemini eclipse thus pointing to enlarged problems with drugs at this time….

I have looked up the cannibal killer Jeffrey Dahmer and see my speculations well justified. His natus reveals sun in Gemini (on the same 0 Gemini as the recent eclipse), Mars in Aries and interestingly too his Jupiter and Saturn both in Capricorn, the other sign in conflict with Aries in the current Uranus/Pluto square.Capricorn is where Saturn naturally rules and Capricorn/Saturn is simply the cadaver, the corpse. So that’s the celestial setting, the framework, the potential.

Quite how anyone gets to be as warped as Canadian cannibal and kitten killer Luka Magnotta (born Eric Clinton Newman) is a major enigma. But as shown presently, the skies of his birth (24.7.1982) make considerable sense out of what we can know about him and events and even without the still unknown birth time. An anonymous ex-friend who doesn’t regard Magnotta as a natural born killer (can anyone be that?) has told  Canadian media that Magnotta’s parents rejected him when he was 16 for his bisexuality. As a result he was early involved in drugs and lived on the streets graduating to the role of escort from that of stripper. While working as an escort he was gang raped and this experience probably set him off.

One can regret the parental intolerance, the trauma and messed up life, but how many people from the now too common dysfunctional family and with troubled lives let themselves get quite so sick? Plainly Magnotta does nothing, including pay back of any hurts, by halves.

The paternal name Newman was Anglo but the mother’s maiden name was Yurkin, Anna Yurkin sounds like someone of Russian stock. Her background and some filial identity with her could well be the basis of one of her son’s leading aliases, Vladimir Romanov, and the reason the Net has pix of Magnotta visiting Russia. True or not, one wonders if the choice of the Vladimir name bore connection to Vlad the impaler and vampire myths and Magnotta’s known early obsession with serial killers. The Romanov name chimes with the sense of entitlement, the alleged privilege and dreams of grandeur. If it was as the outcome of modeling and high class prostitution, not fantasy, Magnotta (whose recent rental addresses have been cheap) claims to have been riding in limos, dining in top restaurants, been dressed in the best clothes and generally living like a lord if not a king.

A natural narcissist Mangotta – was this name chosen to suggest magnetic? – considers himself outstandingly beautiful. A woman in Paris who reported she believed Magnotta had escaped there did report he had pretty eyes. But years ago he told a transsexual lover Nina Arsenault he was frightened of her looking into his eyes in case she would see nothing there. There is something “dead” about Magnotta which he evidently realizes. He was treated for mental illness (apparently schizophrenia) in ’05 and has reported hearing screaming voices in his head  – an exorcist would plausibly maintain he was possessed, the wound of alleged gang rape the likely opening to this – and admitted he was “pretty sick”. But treated, and also brought to account for theft and extortion, by ‘07 he appeared to have regained sufficient normalcy to be writing about himself on Blogs while still pursuing an alternative career and lifestyle as escort and porn actor.

A loner who in an interview with Naked News nonetheless calls himself “a people person” and who clearly wants fans and attention – especially having risked sending body parts to political party offices! – Magnotta appears to have a sweetly romantic, sensitive and/or jealous streak. Passengers on the plane beside him from Montreal even said he was crying when not acting nervous. He advertised on the Net for someone who would truly love and (ironically) “not hurt me”. Wanted on suspicion of having murdered, dismembered and cannibalized a Chinese gay lover, the latter seems to have sealed his fate by showing interest in someone else. Jealousy maybe justifies all in Magnotta’s self-declared white supremacist world view.

Most people were sooner or later turned off by Magnotta’s widely reported “creepy” presence beyond the “beauty”, by his odd fantasies about everything from fame to the desire to murder people including family members. A British Sun newspaper reporter has never forgotten the porn actor’s strange, threatening presence, his promise more would be heard from him and that with the taste for blood once established (through animal murder) he would not stop there. Magnotta also boasted to the reporter of his ability not to be caught. He would write on the Net on the theme of how to achieve total disappearance. He seemed to believe he could simply begin another life elsewhere as he was evidently attempting to do when he flew out of Canada on May 26th, and he certainly knew all the tricks for not leaving a trace, except that his features are fairly distinctive. This has meant that short of managing to obtain some cosmetic surgery  – and he did have cosmetic work on his cheeks some years ago – he would not be able to progress too far. This is how and why first in Paris, then in Berlin it wasn’t too long before he was spotted.

The strong O degrees Leo birth sun explains the daring, the doing nothing by half, the drama bolstered by the aliases (70 different Facebook pages alone) like so many stage parts. These included the more official (i.e. legal) name change to Magnotta (presumably adopted because Italian men are considered hot), the need for attention, fans, an audience and even to just live continuously on stage or within the world of film. When Magnotta fled Paris for Berlin it was under the alias Tramell after Catherine Tramell, Sharon Stone’s murderess role in Basic Instinct. Magnotta is well and truly running his very own theatre and/or cinema of cruelty, pleased to video his own crimes (filmed to the music of American Psycho) as ultra-performance. He looks like a type of Leo – he in fact looks like a younger version of currently disgraced Australian MP, Craig Thomson, likewise accused of being an out of control fantasist. One sees the same high cheekbones, broad features and whimsical, slightly superior air. However, such plastic surgery as Magnotta has undergone has been in service of appearing more like his idol James Dean than the likes of Craig Thompson.

Magnotta’s Leo sun is closely squared by Jupiter which can make for risk taking but some luck with it. Any affliction to the sun could suggest father problems and as Jupiter can signify anything foreign and/or religious, it might be the father was seen as alien to his son as opposed to his mother with whom he was probably more identified at some point. The fact that Jupiter is in Scorpio makes for secrecy in either father, son or both, and a measure of luck and opportunity in the realm of sex which for Magnotta would lead to a virtual career in sex.

The role of the Leo actor is different from the modeling, good looks and vanity theme which this has more to do with Magnotta’s 3 planets in Venusian Libra – Saturn, Mars and Pluto, the latter two being in extremely close conjunction, a few minutes of a degree apart and expressively, suggestively conjuncted by asteroid Prey. It’s a strangely heavy combination for within the courtly, Venusian Libra, though it should be noted that a close Mars/Pluto is associated with murderers and murder…in some cases for some people, that is. I have the conjunction myself, though not in Libra, but I don’t feel I qualify for murder though it’s true that given other times and places I could be happy to horsewhip the likes of Magnotta as he deserves! One wonders if murder is not half seen as perversely “beautiful” due to Libra and even also a kind of gruesome love act – there was necrophilia in the picture.

The strong emphasis in Libra is certainly involved with the bisexuality rather than clear cut gayness. Libra is the most bisexual of signs if only because beyond a basic appreciation of itself it doesn’t insist on its way with people but rather adjusts to whoever it is with. I always maintain the basic, necessary building block of bisexuality is an afflicted Neptune and though we don’t know Magnotta’s birth time it may be assumed from a general chart for the day that the moon will be in some measure of affliction with Neptune. This will favour both Magnotta’s episodes with drugs and the bisexuality (given additionally the Libran input). The moon in Virgo can be the loner, the more feminine or effeminate self and the detail freak – there is masses of that in his preparations for everything from Net self-presentation to murder and disappearance. Since the moon is the mother, in relation to Neptune she could be a bit flighty and undependable.

Shocking Uranus in the sign of animals Sagittarius fosters an unusual relation to animals and we know what ugly things that has meant in this exceptional case. The fact Uranus fortunately trines the sun made it easy for Mangotta to perform his sick will on animals and the Sun/Uranus trine is what makes him a bit of a genius in especially the realm of computers ruled by Uranus and which he managed so well until he overdid things – he was even arrested while looking at Net reports on himself!

Overall, Magnotta’s capacity for cannibalism must be associated with his Saturn (any cadavers, dead bodies, graves) but somewhat more is involved than just that factor. In myth it was cannibalistic Saturn devoured his own offspring or rather it was Saturn’s Greek modality, Kronos. There is no planet called Kronos but there is a hypothetical point in the heavens according to the German Uranian system of astrology. Adherents of the system swear by its accuracy. I am sceptical, but I cannot deny the striking fact that Mangotta’s Saturn is fortunately trined to within minutes of one degree to Kronos. This suggests cannibalism is “easy” for him as it would hardly be even to many murderers.

Magnotta has craved frame and he has and will have it. Fascinatingly, asteroid Fama (Fame) is found on a world point (0 Libra) in exact opportunity aspect to his Uranus – bizarre, shocking fame.

We may be reasonably sure Mangotta’s career in crime and torture, which might yet be found to include last January’s still unsolved LA Body Parts murder (the parts were suspiciously found under the Hollywood sign), is now fortunately over. The spirits likely possessing him didn’t warn him against acting under a Saturn return. Saturn across his “murderous” natal Mars/Pluto was a factor both in prompting him to act as he did cannibalistically but also to be caught for it. The eclipse of a few days before the crime had hit exactly opposite his shocking Uranus (possibly in his house of death if we knew the full pattern) getting him hyper-excited; he was noted to be in a high, excited mood in Paris. But the larger picture was that Saturn was ready to slow him down and confine him as Saturn very much does at its Return position in people’s patterns which occurs at age 28 or 29.

It can be speculated that Magnotta was born just after midnight on his given birth day as this would give him aggressive, and if need be ruthless, Aries rising which then puts Mars/Pluto on or near his relationships descendant, a warning that partners could be in danger around him. A birth early in the day would also supply him a 17 degree Virgo moon squared by the lunar eclipse close to the time of his arrest. This moon would then rule his fourth of home and be a reason he does not appear to wish to fight extradition at this time but rather will return home for trial. However all that is speculative and some other birth time might fit even better. The basic pattern for the day is however sufficiently descriptive for basics of his character and destiny. It is however worth adding in support of the speculated birth time (between 12 and 12.10 am) that this would supply a trine of asteroid Lucifer to the destiny/reputation Midheaven, a Lucifer itself in the fated degree of the nodes, a not irrelevant point given that on a TV reality show as a competitor for plastic surgury, Magnotta bizarrely claimed one reason to want the op was to be rid of what he seemed to imagine were two devil’s horn bumps on his forehead. Crazy doubtless and more fantasy yet like subconscious awareness of being spiritually marked. He must have been at least slightly religious in accordance with the mentioned Sun to Jupiter aspect since his one time transsexual lover noted his practice of making the sign of the cross over what he ate.

Magnotta’s crime repels as unspeakably gruesome. How does one judge it and the perpetrator who is now frightened of being attacked in his German jail because, he says, the media have portrayed him as the “really, bad bad person” he isn’t? (The sublime disconnect here gives this subject a touch of black comedy. Probably Magnotta imagines the unfaithful lover merely deserved his fate and he himself is a real sweetie pie. Leo is among other things the sign of the lover and big love affairs).

Magnotta’s is the kind of case that makes repeal of the death sentence controversial. The crime  might never have occurred if the guilty party had not been secure in the knowledge no death penalty exists. Do we treat this apparently articulate, attention seeking but supposedly polite and mild person as having reduced responsibility due to their mental condition and troubled past? This may be hard to answer, but however we judge Magnotta I do think his parents/guardians should be tormented with guilt and visited with something like lasting disgrace as should likewise the parents of Breivik another product of a dysfunctional family of a rather different sort.(My last main article on Blogger concerned the Breivik case, see:

Parents cannot and must not at whim, or even due to their moral/religious views, throw their teenage offspring onto the street, perhaps especially damaging for a Leo who wants to give and needs a lot of love. It’s a pity Magnotta’s parents, the Newmans, can’t be charged and jailed along with their son.[Latest information from a sympathetic aunt is that the parents, teenagers at the time of Eric Newman’s birth, took little responsibility for their offspring and he was largely raised by a bullying, abusive grandmother, Phyllis Yurkin]. And if religion has had anything to do with the criminal outcome of parental/grandparental choices, then Magnotta’s case is the ultimate one against the venom and violence some American pastors like Sean Harris seem at liberty to preach regarding any perceived gay difference in children. Unlike the other cannibal acts reaching media attention at this time Magnotta’s crazed behaviour gives more than usual grounds for serious reflection.
